Q's Taekwondo and Fitness will be reopening for normal business on Monday, June 21, 2020. As always, our Dojang (taekwondo school) will continue to be sanitized and disinfected to maintain the highest level of cleanliness possible. In addition to these measures, we will be implementing some additional protocols to adhere to opening guidelines.
MEET MASTER JAMES
Master James is currently a 4th Degree Black Belt, kukkiwon certified instructor, and USA Taekwondo certified referee in forms and sparring. A native of Baltimore, MD, Master James began his taekwondo career in 1998 at White Tiger Taekwondo in Parkville, MD, and has competed at the local, regional, and national levels. From 2013-2015, Master James served as the Secretary General for the Maryland State Taekwondo Association. Master James is excited and honored to share his passion in taekwondo with students of all ages!
MEET MASTER TONY
Master Tony was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States in 1984. In 1995, he began his taekwondo career at White Tiger Taekwondo in Parkville, MD. Since then, Master Tony earned several medals to include:
1996-2003 Maryland State Champion - Gold, sparring
1998 Junior Olympics - Gold, sparring
1999 Korean American Olympics - Gold, sparring
2001 Korean American Olympics - Bronze, sparring
2003 Collegiate Nationals - Bronze, sparring
2003 Collegiate Nationals - Bronze, forms
Master Tony is currently a 5th Degree Black Belt, kukkiwon certified instructor, and USA Taekwondo certified referee in forms and sparring. Master Tony looks forward to the opportunity to work with residents of the Baltimore County and surrounding areas!
Q’s Taekwondo and Fitness was founded by Master Kyu "Tony" Hwang primarily to provide students ages 4 and up exceptional instruction in the Korean form of martial arts, taekwondo. Q's Taekwondo and Fitness provides top quality teachings in self-defense, discipline, respect, and general principles of health and fitness.
The goal of Q's Taekwondo and Fitness is to welcome any member, regardless of age or skill level, to achieve not only physical fitness goals, but also to learn qualities such as communication, teamwork, and confidence, so that each individual may develop the foundation, values, and confidence to be successful in all aspects of life. Every student receives an individualized experience and is encouraged, motivated, and inspired to develop friendships, seek higher standards for themselves, and positively transform their lives, both physically and mentally.
